The first in hopefully many drawing challenges! To start off, a basic, non-personal question. To test the waters of course. What is your favorite weapon? Let me explain how this will work,
RULES:
- To submit to this contest, make a drawing illustrating your answer. Then, leave a link to it in the comments below.
- Answer the question within the limitations provided. You have to have a drawing (Be it digital, traditional, sculpture, photo anything that will illustrate it). You can use words to compliment it, and some situations may require text as well.
- After its submitted, I will tell you its in. Then I will judge it and give it a score. The scores will be hidden unless there is an issue. I don't want to cause any ill-feelings from the system. As its a way to accurately place a winner.
HOW ITS SCORED:
-I judge on 3 criteria:
1) Originality (worth 5 pts max): how original it is. Normally, relating to how its answered, not WHAT it answers with. What I mean by this is, don't make a crazy stupid animal to answer "what is your favorite pet". Rather, have a picture playing with your cat, instead of just sitting there petting it.
2) Accuracy (worth 5 pts max): How well your image actually answers the question. Say, if I ask about what your favorite weapon is, and you draw about your dog, then you aren't going to get any points here.
3) Effort (Worth 10 pts max): How much effort you put into the picture. This will be judged against the things you have made previously. If you put in about as much effort as the stuff you normally make, then you get a 5. If you put in a lot more effort (As in, it obviously is an improvement in your art) then you get a higher score, and vise-versa.
- I will try to have some form of extra-credit with the question. If you choose to do so, you get between 1-3 points for it, depending on how much it calls for.
WHAT YOU WIN:
- $2.50 (american) in credit towards any commissions from me. I will keep track of this on my commissions document ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....it?usp=sharing ). You can just use this to take a little of a commission, or you can save it and get something for free, Its designed so you can get a free artcard after just 2 wins, but feel free to save more if you care too.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- This contest in designed so I can learn more about you, and you can learn more about me. I will answer every question I give as well. Its also made so everyone can improve their art. It should give some motivation/friendly competition to get the ball rolling.
- If I ask something that is too personal and you are uncomfortable with answering it, then don't. Have a good time. And its no fun if you are forced to do something.
- The contest will close 2 weeks from when the question is asked. More specifically, 12:00 AM (Central time) 2 weeks from the day the question is posted. I PLAN on having a new question every 2 weeks at the close of the previous one, but my schedule can get a but cluttered with school and such, so I cannot guarantee that.

Reason of Choice:
The Portal Gun, or formally Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (ASHPoD), is my namesake for a reason. First thing is obvious. It's a gun that makes fricken interdimensional wormholes that are stable and controllable, Science has always fascinated me, and though it's physically impossible to make the gun real, wormholes are still a prospect. Apart from the fact that I adore the game beyond obsession, if it were real, think of how much more awesome our lives would be as far as transportation goes!
As far as my fursona goes... it is the anthropomorphized form of the gun. If you read my page, you'll understand that decided to make an anthro form of all sentient beings in the facility... and then some. She decided to give sentience to the portal gun itself... to see if it itself can solve the test. The gender of my sona is undefined, though usually it personifies as male. The personality of Ashpod is based off of my playful, childish, and perverted side, but FurDOS is based off of my sadistic, sarcastic, and seductive side (I have a lot of GLaDOS-esque traits). If I ever do adult pics, it will likely be fur Wheatley (once I make him) and FurDOS, because they're hawt but hard to draw, and I'd sure love to ship em. I've done my fur on the Companion Cube, but since he doesn't have genitalia, really... He might get some installed when the ASAAATI process is done on the companion cube to make her an adorable female wolf with the pattern of the cube on her. You see... In real life, I'm actually literally attracted to the companion cube. lol funny thing about my fur. He can extend his claws to create rips in space time to make portals (he almost always has them retracted. One swipe from him and you're just shredded spacetime) but the power is turned off by FurDOS during tests and is given a non-anthropomorphized normal portal gun. I have a tazer tail and horns too. :P
My main point is: Portal is badass. Portal Gun is even more badass
