One of my all-time favorite bands is Blackfoot. A southern rock band composed on Indian people. I was extremely happy in 2004 when I found out that the band had gotten back together and was once again touring. Then March 15, 2005, drummer for the band, Jackson Spires, died suddenly of an aneurysm.
I was afraid that the band would discontinue the remainder of the tour, but fortunately they go on. However, as with any loss, things are never the same as they once were.
I drew (and colored) this picture of my Blackfoot to remember Jackson and his contribution to southern rock music. Behind Blackfoot is a Blackfoot motive that I recently discovered in a book of motifs from various tribes that I recently purchased. It really added something special to the picture.
