About this story:

A Stagnation of Love is very personal to me. I originally wrote it as an entry into my high school literary magazine as a very short story about a boy coming to terms with the affection he feels for his bully's boyfriend and how their relationship gives him strength to run away from his abusive father.

Three years later, I re-wrote the story, making it longer and more detailed, but it was still not the way I wanted it. So, I revised it a third time, and am still doing so.

A Stagnation of Love is all about a boy who is terribly abused. He is bullied at school, physically and sexually assaulted by his father, and neglected by his mother. He lives his life in hopelessness, believing he is destined to become his father and to always be the outsider. But when he falls in love with someone he shouldn't, he feels like his life is starting again and struggles to regain control over it.

Like most of my stories, Stagnation is only for adults, containing graphic sex, both consensual and not, and themes of abuse and violence.
