I always enjoyed Shoe. It was better in the early years, but Jeff MacNelly was a great artist. It's a shame there aren't more comic strips out now like his.

Haha I think this was the comic that looked cute and neat, I like the big birdy! I checked online since I was gonna write I think the text in the printed comic was too hard to really read, but online it doesn't look that bad.

I am a Jets fan, too. I did NOT want them to do good this last season, though. They had a kinda obnoxious team, and they need to get rid of Tebow, he sucks, and always will.

Well there isn't anything to report on the Islanders front- or on the Hockey front in general. they spend most of their time striking, locked out, or in arbitration. - sigh-

Though they are moving to the Barclay center. and are leaving Long Island

They did get a decent catcher, and Dickey has really had only one good year. I do hope he succeeds. Toronto is my 2nd favorite team.

d'Arnaud has shown promise in the minors but hasn't seen major league pitching yet, and I agree with your assessment of R.A. Dickey, one really good year out of ten. People are excited here with the changes the Jays have made in the off season with the addition of Cabrera, Reyes and Dickey. Yes, I love baseball almost as much as Tony the Tiger ;)

I vaguely remember seeing them. I also have Tom Henkes autograph somewhere from when he played for the Syracuse Chiefs (my hometown)

It must have been fun seeing up-and-coming stars like Tony Fernandez, George Bell, Fred McGriff and future Met and Jay Carlos Delgado play for the Chiefs.

Yup. I have Fernandez and McGriff's autographs somewhere. And I remember when Cecil Fielder came through the organization. And Danny Ainge played there before he switched to Basketball. I could talk baseball for hours.

Aah, from the late 70's to the mid 80's. Same here, I love baseball... I blame the 80's TV program "The Baseball Bunch" for starting this lifelong passion :)
