Someone asked if I had any more pleasant paintings in this series. I have, yes. I didn't mean for them to come last. It just happened to work out that way.
So here you've got a couple of people who've weathered all the rainstorms together.

What a lovely piece! The orangey-yellow glow in the distance and around the couple creates such a warm atmosphere... I'm definitely getting a sense of victory over obstacles from that and from the way the path just turns bright in front of them compared to behind. It's so nice to see a happy piece from this set even though the others are also very powerful. ♥
Reminds me of the relationship between Water Rat and Mole, from Wind in the Willows. Some indications in the first book by Kenneth Grahame, and the books written by another author, tend to show that Water Rat and others are not into females at all, but into males, particularly each other.
