Comish - Star Trekking

Gradient-shaded comish for GenMaverick1989 of DA of his dragon, Maverick, in Ultimate or Holy form, feral, of course.
I had the pleasure to do this guy in his normal form as an anthro piece as well as a head-shot, and I'm really happy I was able to do his feral Ultimate form as well! Maverick wanted him to look as majestic as possible. And what's more majestic than a dragon running determinedly to engage in battle with his foe? Or heed to his friend's call? Or just running up to leap into the air? (More likely the latter.) Also a pose I haven't really done before.
Dang, this shading~ I seriously had a lot of fun with this piece - I feel like I used a lot of different techniques...but I really didn't? I added more texture than usual and coloured the line-art.
Oh no! I must explain the title. So Maverick's ref had blue/black clouds in the background, so I went with a similar colour scheme and used this http://www.mikesastrophotos.com/wp-.....art-nebula.jpg as the background pic...which made me think of the Level Up menu in Skyrim, and then I was thinking of Star Trek, and it went downhill from there.
Anyway, I'm TwilightSaint, and I love white dragons and space and Skyrim.

I can say I have no problem with the title as I am not that in deep to the series to which you were referring. I so like the white pearl like dragon with the yellow stripes across its body. Now when it comes the nebula background and drifting between the stars, it looks like a section of the Eagle nebula; an I am ike you when it comes to dragon and space, Skyrim, never played. Still a fine mage and well drawn.
