His courage was unmatched in that battle, but in the end, he was the last one left standing, in a field full of nothing but dead bodies all around him, and his home, every last part of it, laying in ruin behind him. And he didn't feel like he had the courage to go on anymore...it had all been dashed by losing everything and everyone he'd ever known.
Malice is Seral and Shadow's oldest son, and he went off to study under a famous mage and when he was 17 everything he loved was ripped from him.
