Every year for Easter, friends of ours buy a whole lamb for their meal. One year my dad asked them to save the skull for me, and for the past few years since they've saved as many bones from their yearly lamb as they could.
This is what I made the first year I got more than the skull. It wasn't a complete skeleton. It had no front legs, no ribs, no feet. So, I partially put it back together with anatomy in mind, but mostly just went with whatever wanted to happen.
The small skeleton in front of the lamb is a squirrel. He was roadkill and many of his bones weren't usable, so he turned into some strange sculpture, like the lamb did.
I liked the shadow they cast, so I threw that picture in as well.
