This is a female Kodiak Brown Bear skull from the island of Kodiak in Alaska.
This...thing...is....HUGE!!!! And the skull is so thick! And to think that the males are bigger!!! CX wowee~
This was shot in the early 80s by my Dad when he was in better shape. And no, it wasnt some fenced up hunt full of trophy animals like what most hunts are, my dad and his friend were flown into Kodiak, with just some food, ammo, and the clothes on their backs. They tracked this bear for days, until they finally shot it.
Also, if you are interested in hunting a kodiak bear, make sure you are EXPERIENCED! My dad and his friend had a couple of close encounters while hunting there, including a charging bear that was feet away from them before it collasped. o_o
