I really like this one. Not becuase of the feeling being brought out, but the pose and lighting and such. But what I appreciate most is the song. It really sets the tone and lets me appreciate this picture so much more. Not many people actually take the time to listen to a song that heavily inspires one's artwork, but I can say without a doubt I can understand its feeling now. Its really fitting. Well done!

On a personal note, I would like to say that the lineart is wonderful, even if you kind of despise it i guess? Iunno. But the lineart fits with the overall composition. I like it ^^

I just feel the black lines around the character might be too "off" for this piece. I'm just wondering if this would look better as lineless work.

To me the linework emphasizes the parts of the composition that you want the audience to view the most out of the piece. It shows that this is the subject at hand I want you to focus on, THEN the surrounding complements to his stature. Its almost as if your eye goes center first, then guides itself to the top of the piece with the skull. But the lines itself to me show you want the main person in this piece to be focused on the most. Which is achieved.
