This particular outfit choice is a exclusive alternate outfit of Serah’s that is obtained through additional purchasing for the game.
Serah’s pony base is a generation 1 Sweet Heart Sister pose.
Full body repaint in flesh tone acrylics, eyes are also hand-painted and textured for realism appeal in acrylics.
Mane and tail are re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors of caramel cream, golden sand, goldi locks and sunlight.
Bright pink is recycled hair from a generation 3.5 styling-sized Pinkie Pie. Pale pink hair is dollyhair’s saran Barbie hair in the color called sugarless gum pink.
Serah’s pony tail is curled/permanently hardened via my hair gel method.
Detailed with a yellow rose barrette from a different generation 3 mlp and 3 rendered earrings of past Sweet Heart Sister ponies which have been used for other custom projects. (Knew I saved those earrings for something!)
Outfit is hand-sewn. Sandals are thin beige leather with a suede beige lace on the fronts. Detailed in brown hemp, yellow ribbon and a pink flower rhinestone.
Bottom half of swimsuit starts off with a sheer wide pink ribbon with mauve-colored hemp lining the hems.
Ruffled swim shorts are hand-sewn pale pink bias tape. I did this in two layers. Garder is also pale pink bias tape hand-sewn with medium pink hemp for the stitching.
Belt of shorts is pale pink bias tape, bags on the belt are the same bias tape folded over with yellow ribbon sewn at the tops. Detailed in silver rhinestones.
Rest of belt has metal hoops, metal rhinestone circles and various beads detailing. Finished with a tied yellow ribbon above the tail.
Top of swim wear started off with a under-lining of medium pink bias tape between the front legs to fill that area. Over top is a sash of medium-wide silk pink ribbon then more pale pink bias tape connecting the two pieces together with a sash of medium pink hemp tied over-top.
Flower detailings are beads. Yellow ones are pinned across the top of the chest, white flowers were original transparent yellow flower beads of which I’ve hand-painted with acrylics starting with white, a light brown center blending to yellow, blending to metallic champagne which blends into the main white.
Centers of the flower are orange and green hemp that I threaded through the beads, then tied knots on the backs of the flowers and sealed the knots to the flowers with tacky glue so the hemp is permanently anchored.
Above those, is tied hemp, which wraps around the back of Serah’s neck connecting the two flowers on both sides of her top. This hemp is hand-painted in yellow acrylics.
Underneath the yellow hemp is a piece that started off as plain white leather. I lined the edge with purple hemp and painted a purple sea turtle emblem. On the front of this, are some gold circular details. These were made of metal gold and clear beige rhinestones with smaller gold metallic and real clock cog wheels Krazy-glued over top in various sizes.
Coccoon necklace is a purple/blue bead, which has a thin strip of twisted aluminum flashing fixed into it. Entirely piece is connected via floral wire, which wraps around the back of Serah’s neck forming a necklace.
Front leg accessories: Right leg is a band of square rhinestones that I hand-painted with gold acrylics. Sealed with mod podge.
Left leg has some silver plastic butterfly beads strewn on wire. Bracelet above that is various plastic yellow beads also on wire. Gold leg band is 3 strips of gold leather purchased from Michael’s, the main piece on the center is light orangish-brown leather painted in gold acrylics with a metal gold rhinestone and a black rhinestone glued on top.
Mog companion (good luck charm) is a generation 4 Rarity that had the large elegant butterfly wings that were larger than the pony itself.
To customize this base, it required I carefully cut along a seam that wrapped around the pony’s back that supported a anchored mechanism for the wings. Once I cut this out, I was able to cut out the neck plug for inserting a tail and mane, then glue the mechanism back in, as well as the neck plug.
Faux white fur is glued around the back-side and the chest of the pony.
Mane and tail are re-rooted in plumes of white feathers. Purple wings are from a generation 3.5 Star Song, and are pinned into the back mechanism for the original wings of Rarity.
Ears, nose and eyes are painted/layered in acrylics. Cut Rarity’s horn off so I could thread the metallic purple wire through with the purple bead on it for mog’s jeweled pom pom.
Time staff is a toothpick painted in indigo purple acrylic pigment, with a real watch clock face Krazy-glued to the stick with a champagne-colored rhinestone glued to the back and a blue square rhinestone glued at the top.
This time around I decided to try the plumes of white feathers for the mane just to see the different appeal it would give for a mog design. After he was finished, I felt like this mog resembled Lightning. I’m okay with that because the first mog I made for the first Serah custom I made the summer of 2012, I gave it a hair style that matched Serah’s hair. Had in mind the “Final Fantasy Unlimited” concept where Kaze’s mog was like a chibi match of him. So with this mog resembling Lightning, I’m going to give it the purpose of being symbolic of Serah’s yearning to find her lost sister Lightning.

I've done a couple commissioned versions of her, and plan on making another custom of her from the first game!

I really don't know the game, so that is totally lost on me.. but really awesome customs anyhow!
The SHS is pretty with her delicate little ruffles and glam eyes, but askdklwd!! That little white G4 is ADORABLE!! Those closed kittenlike eyes and her white fluff <3
Are those G3.5 Starsong wings used on her?

Oh yes, those are g3.5 Starsong wings I used! That's one detail I forgot to mention in my essay-long commentary!
I love mixing generation pieces with other generations. G1 wings on g3 bodies, g4 wings on g3 bodies... so on and so forth.
I wasn't familiar with ffxiii at all when I started making the customs of the characters, too... I believe I made the first Lightning I've ever made, and two sets of Fang & Vanille for commissions before I actually saw the game, lol! I just love the character designs so much...
