K'nex was so much better than lego! I used to build cars with a chassis, working suspension (rubber bands for springs on control arms), and even 90-degree gearing on the rear wheels to turn a driveshaft as I pushed it around (and into things)! Lego was good for.... square things.
I always liked those huge endless marble ride thingies they had at Toys'R'Us. It's like a two meters high machine with rails and such made of K'NEX and the ball always rolled through that complex marble slide. =3
I mostly enjoyed building merry-go-rounds with it and I actually made a machine that could simulate walking for a 3DS once when I found my old K'NEX stuff. =///3
