I’m trying to not be shitty at drawing Pokemon, so I’m getting back into the swing of things by revamping Puce’s entire team (which may or may not include one of the new Pokemon. We’ll see how much I like the 6th gen) not just for my benefits but to also announce my (better) Team commissions, since I draw Pokemon much differently than how I used to.
Anyway, this is Toodles. He’s a bashful Vaporeon. Puce received him upon an act of kleptocracy when she found his Pokeball inside a storage room in a store. She did want to evolve him into an Umbreon since she thought Umbreons were so freaking cool. But at the time she was in desperate need of a water Pokemon, and thus used a Water Stone on him. As of today, they’re satisfied with the choice. Toodles is a great battler with an extensive knowledge of water type moves, ice type moves, and dark type moves. But when a pretty girl Pokemon is sent to battle against him, he evades her every move.
Once he meets Trainer Abigail's Vaporeon, Indy, she ends up being the one he ultimately falls for and they have some eggs together.
Traits: Toodles’ trademark Vaporeon markings stretch down his muzzle. He also has a saddleback marking. And brown eyes.
How I draw Vaporeon: They’re a good mix of a sea lion and a PANTHER. Not big and buff like a tiger, and not as sleek or tall as a cheetah, but definitely limber and agile on both land and water. I no longer draw Vaporeon with fuzzy fur, but give them the sleek waterproof skin type of a sea lion. I still keep their mermaid-esque tail and fins, since I don’t really dig the whale tail.
