After a while, it was hard to ignore the pain around my feet, and the groaning sounds coming from my shoes. I've been stressed out and overworked, spending quite a few double-overtime shifts at my desk over the last few weeks. So I pretended I wasn't really seeing my feet bursting through my shoes and stretch out my pantyhose.
Didn't take long for me to realize this wasn't my imagination, though...
