Intoxicator is the alter-ego of Xyzillentz, a human-bodied, snake-headed mutant nightclub owner and rock singer from Crescent City. As Intoxicator, he has a tight grip on the city's government which he uses to manipulate law enforcement to his favor. He also has relationships with some of the gangs, though they are largely one-sided. He's feared by the entire populace, which is just the way he likes it. He also loves putting on a show and using his acting skills to manipulate people. He's incredibly flirty and sexual; whether this is genuine or a ploy to help him get what he wants depends on the person he's talking to.

The tournament invitation arrived addressed to Intoxicator - not Xyzillentz - left with a victim the organizer apparently knew he would go after. Never one to tolerate boredom and always up for a fight (not to mention prize money), Intoxicator accepted the invitation immediately. He has some reservations about the possibility of losing on a live worldwide video feed... but ultimately, the chance to win was too tempting to pass up.
