Yep.. The paper sure has an impact on the overall texture of a drawing. The rougher the paper, the rougher the texture of the pencil lines/coloring. Even though I'm trying to make my colors and shading as smooth as possible, I like and wouldn't want to miss that "natural grainyness" :)

most definitely. there is a kind of thing with that in photography. Digital graininess and blurring seems too unnatural to me and that is why i stick with film. My worst photographs in my gallery are digital XD

Hehe.. yeah, a funny phenomenon. Lots of people have switched to working more or less entirely digitally. But still, many are trying hard to make things look analog. I wonder why.. Probably because working digitally can make certain things a lot easier and more manageable while traditional often looks more interesting or pleasing to the eye. But whatever the reasons, I think both digital and traditional stuff have their use, strengths and weaknesses.. and can exist quite well next to each other :)

Yes I think so too, however the problem with digital is that its so easy to point and click a photograph that so many people think they are photographers even when they are not, so you have to go through alot more bad photos than you used to in order to get to the good photographs. You'd think by now that someone would be able to take photographs as good as Ansel Adams with a click of a button n a digital photograph by now XD
