Well guys, I gave it a shot. After playing around with them for a few days, I can tell I'm just not ready to break into comics yet. I've got a heck of a lot of learning to do. It takes me too long to draw the things I want to do and I don't have quite enough versatility in poses yet, I'm just not capable of putting down the things I want to.
However, I didn't want to just drop everything after all the work you folks put into sending ideas my way, so I decided to sketch up some of the single scenes that popped into my head after reading.

It's an indecent proposal! ..but really it's just an indecent name. XD Makes me think of kafir, which is Islamic for non-believer. Kinda fitting!
Still wouldn't hurt to give these a try every now and then when you're really hitting a block. It may be a lot of work, but at least it's something that still produces some good results (despite what you feel about them) :)

What I find when drawing comics, and I've drawn a lot of comics that I've left to the wayside, is that if you enjoy the story, just draw. Draw, and eventually the images will flow together. You don't have to layout your pages like a comic to draw comics. You can have your one big picture, or as is the case several big pictures, and assemble them on the computer later.
I see your point, but I'm tackling the issue in a slightly different way. I don't feel like I have anything to grasp on to yet... I don't even look at comics, so I don't really have any place to even start my thinking. I'm studying anatomy a bit more seriously at the moment, and I'm at some point going to start looking for good comics to take a gander at and see how other artists approach situations.
I don't think I'm quite ready to hammer away at this until the issues go away yet... I need to get the hammer first. :P

I started doing comics when i was way less skilled than you. You have what it takes. the main thing is its gotta be for you. there has to be a purpose in your heart to make one. My comic is a way of venting my frustrations at this world symbolically. Your story must reflect who you are, and it doesn't matter if it's drawn well.

How's "Not fun right now" suit ya? I didn't enjoy spending 4/5ths of the time staring at a blank page because I couldn't even figure out where to begin. That's not fun, drawing is fun. On top of that, comics are hardly my biggest interest in drawing anyway, more of a silly side project I might play with very occasionally. I've always greatly preferred the large single picture format. I'll come back to them when I'm ready, but not right now.
No worries, just trying to make my reasons clear. :P If I desperately wanted to do comics I wouldn't let this slow me down, but right now I'd rather just refocus my efforts elsewhere and come back when I've got a handle on some other things. Also, maybe actually read a few comics before trying to make them.
Oh dear.. in South Africa there is a racial term 'Kaffir' which is pronounced Ka-fur so cafur literally sounds exactly like that. It's a derogatory way of referring to a black person. Kind of like 'nigger' in America but more harsh. But yeah, just thought you should know. I love the art as usual. :3
