On pure aesthetics, without knowing what this design is supposed to represent, I think I'd pick ABDEIL and O.

Dark Souls will basically inform my work until I die. Such an interesting world with such a ridiculous and captivating lore. So yeah, join the club!

My initial goal was to make a creature/monster with a furry/feathery top half in the most aesthetically appealing way I could manage. I guess it's not too bad of a way to work! Now to figure out how to paint this design without it looking stupid! But yeah thanks for the feedback, I also lean towards the less colour-contrast-y ones.

Melanistic skin blending into calciferous (I guess?) patches just feels the most real to me.

Cool jargon! Good point as well. I've tried to have the top half be feathery/furry but that keeps on ending up looking pretty lame when I paint it because I can't get the gradual shift in colour from the chest to the abdomen to look good. Calciferous skin would make more sense with the value/colour gradient happening in all of them.

And they'd also be all spiky instead of soft which is cool.

I bust out the jargon whenever I can! And yeah, it'd end up with him being pretty spiky. As much as I'd like to, hugging him probably wouldn't be worth it. :(

F is my favourite.
I like the contrast from the dark skin and the fluff/feather-thingies on its chest.

Sorry dude, no love for B until you showed up :( it is a nice one though. Makes me think of a colder, snowier climate, and being the whitest and least colourful it would be a better reflector of the light around it, so I could tie in tons of little subtle shifts in colour if I ever painted it.
