Been working on this galactic map on and off for the past couple names... this is the setting where all of Alma's stuff is set in.

Most of the civilized areas of the galaxy are under the control of the Third Galactic Commonwealth, a large collection of worlds which was formed out of the remnants of the Ibycai and the previous Commonwealths. The Independent Hinterlands to the south are systems that did not join after the war to unify, and as such the relations have been intense over the centuries. The Hinterlands do not hold nearly as much power as the Commonwealth, despite the size of the region. There are numerous pirate groups throughout the south along the border.

The western Frontier of the galaxy is full of regions all vying for their own power, and there are numerous constant struggles for territory and material there. With Commonwealth Corporations now well established in the region, it has only grown more unstable.

The northern reaches of the galaxy are largely full of dead or dying civilizations and general places of decay and forgotten worlds, and is generally thought to be resource poor. The region is generally regarded as a place of extreme bad luck, more superstitious species generally avoid travel there.

Several regions of the galaxy are impassable, these spheres cannot be crossed, any scans are reflected, no transmissions can enter or leave, and any ship passing through vanishes, they are likely destroyed in the attempt to cross. The galactic core has become rather infamous, as there are thousands and thousands of wrecks surrounding the Scaean Sphere... ill fated adventurers seeking the fortunes of a long gone empire.
