Sorry totlly forgot to add the link. Heres a simple tutorial

Using a latch hook tool rather than the ventilating hook is easier with fur though.
Ventilation has the advantage of a smoother backing (no knots on the back)

How fascinating! That was a good link, thank you so much for sharing!
I wonder if you can feel the knot created on the top side of the fur instead, I don't know if I've seen a latch hook small enough but I will keep my eye out and try it out when I get the chance! :D

Great Idea.
I have been reading up about the way they make wigs and looking at using that methog and the weave of the fur fabric to add in highlights.
The great thing with this is that you can put in a lot of longer strands and really bulk out an area like the shoulders, mane without needing to stich in a different set of fabric.
Many thanks for sharing the video.

omg this technique would be great when trying to blend the lines between fur colors on a fursuit. Also, I have a character that has white ears with specks of color in it, now I can quit my search of trying to find the perfect fur and just create it myself! :D
This has already been mirrored on Tumblr! Check it out here: http://matrices.tumblr.com/post/523.....-to-change-its
I'll update the description to reflect that, thanks for alerting me!
