My uncle worked on Greenland for about 8 years in the late 60s and early70s. At the two bases he was working at some of arctic foxes in the area were so tame they would come up to you for hand outs or be petted.
He had a couple of photos with a young fox kit in his lap looking/sniffing at the camera. Fox kits are not very bright to start with...
