I noticed I have not posted any art for a few days so I gonna post this wip back ground for a piece I am working/fighting with.
I was having a heck of a time with a hair/blade on it's head for a few days. I finally got a great ref, what I did was I took screen shot off a you tube video on the rydrake from spectrobes. I finally get the head to where I want then my computer crashed.......
I will be glad when I get this baby done LOL
Anyways here the back ground I made up. I did find a background simulator ( http://i.space.com/images/i/000/016.....jpg?1335289426) as you can see what I have added the milky way and the planet and added more hot spots on the planets below...

This looks really epic scales! It looks so lovely! Will be definitely looking forward to the finish version! My favorite planet is Mars :) I've always been an astronomy fan! Science used to be my best subject in school XD. But anyways back to the drawing. This is really awesome!!!!! Favoring this and will look out for the final version has well :D
