Im late doing xmas art XD
Started as a doodle in ballpoint pen, no pencils at all. Which then was going to be a speed painting in photoshop and just got into it too much to be a simple speed painting.

Lets see if I can explain it ^_^
Ok, first keep in mind I use photoshop cs, im not sure how different things are in newer versions (and cant rember the older ones any more D:_
Open a new file in photoshop (i open one at approximately the size i need it to be). On the toolbox change your background and foreground colors, pick a light gray for one and dark gray for the other.
Then go to filter, render and choose clouds. Go back to filter then noise and select add noise. Make sure to select gaussian and monochromatic. For a 300dpi peice i usually bring the amount slider to around 15.
Then go into filters again...Stylize and Glowing Edges. I usually leave many of the controls alone excpt usually bring up the brightness a bit :3
Then from there you can give it the color you want. GO to Image, Adjustments and then Hue/Saturation. Be sure to check the 'colorize box' :3 from there its just a matter of playing with hue and daturation etc to get what color you want :3

Oh my gosh honey! This is just so BEAUTIFUL! I am so speechless! The textures are just amazing and her expression, and the way you did her hair and feet and wings and nose, just GAH! I don't know what to say is is just so gorgeous and I love it so SO much! Thank you X infinity!!!! I love the outfit and how oyu have her some curvyness and how you put the nautilus picture in the background! I could seriously go on and on but it wouldn't make any sense because I just, I have no words to express how beautiful this is and how much I love it! You really didn't have to go to all this work for me but thank you SOOO much!!!! *glomps you and hug-squeezes until you can't breathe* :P
