Finally Done! Now i can move back to my Gunpla Model building for this year entry. This Balto fan art have been trouble process especially during the background painting stage, been repainting the background for around 5 times, and still did not get the satisfying result I wanted, even the final version I am still not too happy with it, mybe in the future I'll redo the background but for now just stick with this version (that's what happen when I fail to plan background from the beginning >__<///)
Other than the background, overall I am happy how the whole thing turn out, probably as ambitious as my Matrix fan art but glad it was done faster compare to my other work. In terms of concept wise I am really glad that everything fell together perfectly as it stays faithful to Balto's story. If I ever have the chance to tell Balto story in a different concept, this will be my version.
Thanks guys for your patient waiting for this fan art to complete, and I do hope my so call 'come back' art work inspires you.

Very nice!
This piece has been long going for you, but it turned out very well! So much action and dynamics I think the foreground will detract any unwanted attention towards the background; which, I still do not understand the disappointment. Detail? Landmarks? Maybe just the idea of not planning a background during the development stage has you irked?
Whatever the case, you did an awesome job. And thanks for uploading your WIP's. Gives us beginning artists something to reference. =3

A very creative concept, mixing Balto with bicycle racing. You captured the characters' looks very well, and the level of detail on the clothing, the bikes, the racing suits and the helmets are mind blowing. And it also makes me think of the bike racing anime I'm watching, Yowamushi Pedal (plus the first opening song is great): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVgTgrRlPcM

Togo went through the harshest part of the journey. Balto just happened to be part of the last team before the end goal. Balto is a glory hound
