If you have spent enough time with
MizuhiroNeko lately, then you have heard him talk about his involvement in a little-known chat-style/tabletop-style role playing game called CoMIX.
If you have, then you probably also heard me talk about my involvement in the game and how my skunky character let herself get transformed into a dragon-like creature, called a slytharian, all in the name of love. Ever since that day, I have had a great desire to create an image of my character, after her transformation.
This is the first drawing of a slytharian that I have produced. Since then, I have been experimenting in ways to create a better final image. When I finally come up with an image I can be satisfied with, I'll be most happy to share it.
Things that I hope I can improve on: The body seems stretched. Slytharians are supposed to be muscular, but in retrospect, the legs are too thick. Also, the shoulders and hips should be aligned with the back, rather than with the middle of the body. The wing is too small and it isn't really attached to any kind of limb. Dragons (and dragon-kin) are typically drawn with the wings coming out of the shoulder (which is perfectly proper for a bird, bat, or a wyvern). I have been experimenting to see if I can draw a wing that is attached to the spine at the midsection (I am thinking of how insects have three limbs).
