Nicotiana glauca. A shrub native to Bolivia and Argentina, but has been naturalized on many other parts of the world that favors its growth. This plant belongs to same genus with tobacco, but contains anabasine, an alkaloid analog to nicotine, instead of nicotine. Like nicotine, anabasine also has insecticidal properties, and I am planning to test this out on my field.

I smashed old and new leaves, mixed it with water and aplied it to the infected zones and the whole plant... effectiveness was zero =(. Then I put leaves around the plant and the aphids went to those leaves because the infected plant was dying and they fed with them.
I think it isn't useful against aphids, but can be useful against other things, maybe.
