Gem had been grumpy all day. No matter what Nicol tried Gem had just been fussy and irritated.

Later in the afternoon Nicol settled down on the sofa with Gem lightly resting on her chest and the pair of them dozed for an afternoon nap. Gem snuggled into her mummys bosom content and safe. A little while later gem woke before her mummy and pushed herself into a crawling position. Crawling haphazardly up her sleeping mummy Gem made a grab for her mummys glasses, knowing she wasnt allowed to play with them. She pulled them off Nicoles face and woke the adult red panda up. Gem giggled as Nicol lifted the baby red squirrel up, pulling the glasses clenched firmly in the baby's paws clean away from her face.

Gem found this incredibly funny and giggled infectiously her laughter ringing around the room and causing her mummy to smile.Gem tried to cram the glasses back on her mummys face and Nicol pretended to be asleep so that Gem could pull the glasses off her face again causeing the baby to giggle even more loudly and repeat the process a third time.

Nicol giggled too. Glad that her daughter had slept through her bad mood.
