Well actually it works very well. Here is my new 8 string beside my Fender Deville 410 tube combo. The two work together very very well. Once I get a bit of time ill get my 18v mod done and this thing will have serious punch.

Emg 808 pickups, Going to try the famous 18v mod, and compare how they sound at 9 and 18, I am liking them so far just want to get a little tighter bottom end, impressive so far though.

It is, my thumb is complaining from the whole bass style slap and pop Im doing though.

Oh, you'll get used to it in no time. I play bass myself. I got a 6 string J-Bass. The only thing that still bothers me is the double thumb technique.
