Heh funny, first time I played Guilty Gear I thought Baiken was a guy, but really even Baiken herself doesn't care about her gender (and her stories in those games tend to be VERY creepy) but holy shit that game has a soundtrack that I can't describe in words... I'd have to use guitar chords for that.
What a coincidence that you'd say that. I mentioned the same thing about her a few days ago about how she's not gender bound. She just does what she does how she does without seeming to try to be anything. There's nothing quite like Guilty Gear's soundtrack. Baiken was actually created because the lead designer of GG (Daisuke Ishiwatari), thought that Kenshin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rurouni_Kenshin) was a girl, then got disappointed and created a girl version of him for the game.

Ah, ok I see now. I also have reason to believe that Baiken was inspired by Baiken Shishido, or maybe Kenshin was. Maybe a combination of factors. Baiken Shishido has been depicted having a scar over the same eye and known to use a chain with a kama and a weight on the other end, which makes me think of the claw that Baiken of Guilty Gear is known for using.
