I did an EMT refresher course last year and towards the end, we had a gentleman come in to talk to us about venomous reptiles. Well, he also brought this snake (no, it's not venomous; it's a king snake) and a Gila Monster, and since I'm a bit of a snake-lover, I accepted when he offered to let us handle them. I caught someone aiming a camera at me and decided "what the heck".
