Progress shot of my latest project. 8 hours and counting... Left to right: Jinx, Archer, Feral, the dragon's ward (shapeshifting metallic critter), Cassanya, Shara, Osgood (puppy), and the currently nameless red dragon.
Planning to stick with simple shading and bold outlines to keep it cheerful and friendly - and because trying for complicated shading with this many characters would kill me.
Everything you see pictured is in the story somewhere! Starting here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5136447

Looking quite nice, Eddie! the characters all look stellar and expressive and the background elements you added meld together very well. The castle in particular fits the empty space from before perfectly. ^^
I know it's still in progress, but the perspective of the castle looks a little wonky. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it has to do with the bottom of the castle. At some point, the wall seems to change angles to form a separate wall going away from the viewer, but where this happens is a little strange. If the end of the front wall is at the tower below the dragon's left foot, the top part of the wall should angle upwards unless it's exactly on the horizon (and if it is, the round red roofs above it should be curving upwards instead of being flat which means they're also along the horizon). If the wall turns at the big round tower, then the bottom of the wall should continue along the same line as the rest of the castle to the right - unless there's a hill, but the ground actually looks like it's either level or even dropping down a little.
... I have no idea if that made any sense. It's really hard to describe a drawing in words like this. ^^;
Mostly, just make sure you know where the horizon line is for your drawing so you can tell if you're looking down or up at any given point.
Regardless, this is all coming along wonderfully. Very nice work so far!
