I've been thinking the same thing myself for over a decade. If there really was an MMO "The World" that I could play, I'd happily go into a coma and live inside it, lol.

Most of .hack came out in the early 2000's and took place in 2010-2020. As we push into that time frame its interesting to see what they predicted to happen and what has happened and what jives or not. For instance, the .hack universe was a lot slower to adopt cell phones as the be all, end all that we have.
Really? Yay, armor and equipment is something I really wanted to get right.
