Me in my Endless Night suit at Furnal Equinox.
(with my service dog Schalke)
My first furry convention. I'd probably go again if I had the money. Maybe do some artist's alley commissions to help defray costs.
I don't think I could ever drag Timmy Wolverine there again. *LOL* Don't think T
dogstarr enjoyed it much. :P

Lookit that sexy cat! RAWWWWWR! I hope that maybe we'll be able to spend some time next year up there together! I was only playing Rock band and in the Board Games room most of the time! I didn't even leave for foods! So next time, you put a collar and leash on me and don't let me go! =3
Loved seeing EN come to life and very handsome indeed! *big hugs* Was a pleasure to see you there!

Of course! No worries at all.
I have to get back to you about the paws too. I'm just going to use them as is for the big Maritime get-together because I'm not trusting the post to get them back to me in time with customs and all.
So I'll send you a note probably in August if that's okay?

What a great suit and a fantastic service dog. I have a service dog as well. My dearest dog Sunny;

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11696592/ Him in full work mode.

That photo of him with you in the hospital is beautiful!
Is he a seizure alert dog? Schalke is a mobility support(special skills)/guide dog and seizure alert dog for me.
My guy comes with me to hopsital too, I'm there a lot for bone marrow tumours/terminal immune disease and other complications of a complex mixed connective tissue disorder. I'm so sorry to read of your own health challenge. Stay strong!
I'm so glad you have a great service dog to keep you company and keep you safe.
I hope the future is bright for you both!

He was originally trained for bi-polar,PTSD but now he also does hearing alert. Hes been with me since 2004 and started working in 2006 after I accidentally over dosed on hydrocodone, He couldnt rouse me and fetched my mom. He will be 12 this your so I am looking for another papillon to train as his replacement. As long as he wants to work I will let him, I am having a hard time finding a papillon, those I have found are all 800-1800.00 depending on the quality and breeder. The cheapest I found was actually 600 but it was from a puppy mill type breeder who also breed "Yorkillons". She passes them off as a rare hybrid breed.
I need to get a mobility dog and I had one I was training but I had to let him go as I could not exercise him and I had no one who I could depend on to help me. I hated letting him go. Im going to wait on getting a mobility one and just go with another psych dog. I am 266lbs which I consider to heavy for anything but a Newfie or other mastiff type dog. Later on when I can get a treadmill I will consider training a mobility dog.

Wow, he sounds like a super dog. I find that once the dogs pass the ADI test/service dog boot camp you can keep teaching them new skills and they do really well!
I hope you can find a quality puppy. I know it can be hard when you need a dog that is not the usual service dog breeds, in my case allergies to all the water dogs is what limited me. Standard poodle was an option but no one had any in training and with an already 6 year waiting list it was just going to be longer than the amount of time I had left to live!!
The mobility dogs do have a really long waiting list, but just to let you know the harnesses are built to spread a lot of the strain. I got my dog at 170-190 pounds and now, because of steroid medication for the bone tumours, am about 270. My guy can still help me brace and help me stand up. I wouldn't want to keep that kind of strain on him all the time but there was nothing I could do about the weight gain(even on a 1200 calorie diet!!) and it should start to come off now that we are back to mostly radiation. So smaller dogs can do the bigger jobs- Schalke is 70lbs, and tall.
I know how hard exercise is, I am bed ridden a lot, too. I'm lucky to have a significant other who is a part time physcisit/part time dog walker! So he can take him. I also get support from the government with help for his care and exercise at the service dog park which is about twenty minutes away. Of course being legally blind now I can't drive(and also why I can't draw much anymore) having help is a huge weight off my mind.
Please give Sunny a pat for me, and if you ever just want to chat or vent or anything just send me a note and I'll reply as soon as I can.
