I was once a Digimon fan as well, then I got back into pokemon, and now I'm still a pokemon fan but with a small mutual interest and an idea for a new digimon anime.

They could try mixing digivices again and have a broader character selection.

I was actually thinking of a story that plays homage to all the old digimon stories.

something like back in the mid 90s a new AI project was underway but about a portion of the way through completing it it went rogue, housing itself in the internet and creating replications of itself, leading to the creation of digimon and having the internet as the digital world, and without humans interferring they could cause cyber issues and chaos so a system in the guise of an MMO is made to keep these AI's from creating havok while trying to keep the reality of it a secret

I just wish they had some better ideas. I heard after 4(Which as an AMAZING SEASON!!) Digimon started to go downhill.
