This is a piece I did of Rosemary a couple years ago. I wanted to capture the feel of the classic Elvegren, Vargas, Petty pinups of the 40's and 50's. It was the first time I tried recreating palm trees by putting the sky in first over most of the tree and laying in the fronds afterwards. I rather like the results. Image size about 14"x 11". Medium color pencil with some marker. gouache and micron pen.
