Rawr.
Since there is a furcon coming up around here in a short while I decided to use some occasional freetime here and there to doodle up something like a portrait of Motaro. Heh, it was pretty fun indeed. The idea was that I would use it as something of an icon/badge portrait thing. Pieced it together every now and then when I could, and at the end was a little rushed anyway since there was a deadline for uploading badge art. So I think I will leave it where it is now.

First time doing portraits with this type of detail really, thise close up and such. Was fun

While the details like the scales and the horns are not exactly what I might consider "canon" for the character I think the overall likeness is certainly there, the general shapes of the snout and face and such. The scaledesigns and horns were a little bit of spur of the moment decisions. But heck, I drew it so I figure I can style myself in the details how I want ^^

But I also felt it was important to try and really capture the correct color of Motaro, which is not yellow but Gold, a bit of a metallic one in fact. I hope a person can tell? x.x
