Kyowai, Dranth are mine.
It should be noted that not all Dranth have "wings". In fact, a shockingly small percentage of them do - and none of which reside on their home planet. I hesitate in calling them "wings" due to the fact that they are not capable of flight; while they grant their host a litany of strange and sometimes bizarre abilities, their true purpose is yet to be known.
However, tracing the history of the 'winged' Dranth has uncovered a few rather pertinent details of their society. The Dranth are governed by a nobility, perhaps a monarchy of some sort - some texts allude to a 'Grand Matriarch', perhaps a queen? These 'winged' Dranth are brought before this Matriarch before they are sent off world, tasked with some grand exploration among the universe. Apparently, their lifespan is much, much longer than that of normal Dranth, and their journey into the stars is needed to sustain ... something on their home planet.
Unfortunately, this is all I have been able to glean from what little data I could scrounge up on the Dranth homeworld. Their planet is ... elusive. How does a planet become elusive?...
