I'm a rifle kind of gal, personally. =P

I prefer larger weapons weight wise, but I don't lean toward the rifles unless they're really large bore.

My carry around is a Browning Hi-Power 9mm MKI, but at home, for defense, there's always the trusty 12gauge under the bed.

I don't have my license, just yet (sadly) so all my guns are still with dad. But I'm looking forward to having my little .22 again. Wimpy, perhaps, but you know...it's reliable as hell. And frankly, anyone getting shot with anything bigger than an air-powered pellet gun isn't going to be messing with me.

I make make heads into canoes. If I shoot someone with my hollow-point 9mils, there's no open casket funeral. I carry for personal protection, cause this is a rough neighborhood.

Now, I wouldn't doubt a .22 though. It's a bad ass close range weapon. Guaranteed target kill if you shoot him in the face(avoid the forehead). The round will punch through but lacks the power to escape, so it just bounces around inside the skull. Nasty little things they are.
