RC: Unbreakable Force
This artwork is a collaboration between myself and
symbolhero
You can see “Reptile” and “Orion” assuming a battle stance. Who would or could ever stop these two warriors?!
It’s been a lot of fun working together with my friend Aldo. As you can see, our styles are quite similar… that’s intentional, since we’ve both agreed to a “collab artwork” that was supposed to show some unity between our characters!! ^_^

I have posed for “Orion” myself. The sword “Orion” is holding was a soft sword-toy provided to me by my good friend

very nice and I do see the similarities! your styles really do compliment each other pretty well.
I personally love the dynamic pose here and use of cell shading (for some reason it really compliments the harder lines used in this picture for a nice stylized look)
I do have a question regarding reptiles pauldrons though, they don't appear to have any straps or anything holding them to him, are they sewn into his shirt?

THANK YOU!
I personally love the harder style (with BLACK shading), too... I would even prefer this. It is a bold move... not suitable for all eyes. XD
BUT it's really cool and since we decided to upload a softer version, you can still get the harder one via the link! ^____^
We both agreed on the same style, too. Aldo usually draws more shading and some soft textures, but this time we wanted to have almost the SAME style.
About Reptile's arm armor:
There is a belt at his back! The metal parts are being held together by this belt, which you can open and close at his back.

I apologize, I hadn't seen that link before! those are some badass core shadows! it reminds me of the dynamic shading used in most comic books!
also, I see, I'd need a look at his rear (no joke here. nope) to better understand how that would work without his right (our left) pauldron sliding off his shoulder backwards.

Yes, I love MANGA comics, so you get the picture.... ^____^
Here is the backside:

But I still need to design it more logically in the next time. ^^" I guess, a larger belt with more straps would be in order!

Hehehe, thanks for the comment! ^___^
The sword is quite cool, yeah... but Reptile prefers polearm weapons, such as his "Dragonclaw"! The fighting distance is just amazing! ^^"
Also, I'm happy you like the cartoon/anime style, too. This really SHOULD get animated in time!!!!!!!!!!! XD

Hahaha, I strongly recommend The Seven Samurai - is a realistic movie and the battle scenes reflect it: They aren't "epic" and "grandious", they're a little chaotic and actually end fast. The story is pretty good and the movie is very solid. I dare to say was one of the best movies ever made XD
That's nice to hear, thanks very much! ^^ A good surprise is best. :D
In fact, some people wonder why our styles are so similar... that's simple: I've used my limited cartoon style and Aldo did the same; NOT using lots of textures or shading this time. And voila, it looks like being done by ONE hand - which is good! ^^

look at the tournament i'm hosting, you'll see what i mean by glass tubes. it does involve displaying, but also alot of squirming, hehehehehe! ^^
i can tell they're hard to draw just by looking at them. i'm not sure i'd be able to draw like that, which is all the more reason why i commend your efforts.
