I'm more closer to Wichita myself, but Naka wasn't too far a drive. I need to find out about all the cons in KC b/c I keep finding ones I've never heard of and wish I'd found out about them sooner. I always go to AFW and would love to go to a fur con or Brony con in the future.
AFW is Anime Festival Wichita, it's a small con and cheaper. I usually go to see friends b/c it's close to home and more like a meetup. It's always held around the weekend of July 12-14. I want to attend other cons, but money and parents don't want me to travel out of state by myself.
