Both of them are horror game, Haunting Ground from Capcom and Rule of Rose from Atlus. I like them, because the main character from that games are a woman, who almost doesn't have skill to beat enemies which have higher power. They only can avoid enemies in order to be safe and also trade on her knowledge for fight back. And one thing that make i like both horror games are they are accompanied by a dog as partner and also as friend!
Haunting Ground: By that game, Fiona (main character) must be able to escape alive from castle, which a weird occupants are capturing her. Because she doesn't have any weapon expect dog, Hewie always accompanies her faithfully, she must be able to hide in place, which enemy won't find her. However, if her Panic Meter already reach a crest, we will have a trouble in controlling her movement. That factor becomes the challenge one for that game.
Rule of Rose: Jennifer (main character) has to find an object which is wanted by a weird childrens in order to be safe from torturing. On realizing that plan, she is accompanied by Brown, dog all along the journey. In contrast to game before, Brown can help her attacking enemy/monsters without being commanded and further more, Jennifer can use various weapons. But, her movement is so slow and she is easily fall if suddenly attacked by enemies. That becomes a challenge.

Oh yeah! I saw that game before, Haunting Ground. It was quite stressful! There was this big guy who captured Fiona and put her in a cage. Then, when she run away, the big guy pursue her! I dunno how much time we hid under the bed!
I never played Rule of Rose though, is it on PS2?

own both games and lol so true, but the mechanics and story are so different
Haunting Ground: You MUST train Hewie, and he actually fights. the story is about a kidnapped girl who must do everything she can to escape before she literally gets raped.
Rule of Rose: Brown is already trained, and only distracts enemies for like 2 seconds and bosses he is completely useless, but his "find" option is 20 times better than Hewie's. Story is about a girl basically re-facing through the most traumatic events of her life.
regardless I love them both and this picture ^^
