Tied down to live with no purpose.
I had a whole thing I wanted to write out about this, but I just can't find the motivation to type it all out.. The idea is I feel bloated with melancholy and mediocrity, living life day-to-day, no real drive or motivation to push myself to where I truly want to be.
Will be scrapped.

My own thought, really, though heavily influenced by my faith. Christianity teaches that despite Jesus winning the war, the devil still has quite a bit of authority and power over human souls. Why this is so, I'm not real certain, and I don't want to get into theology (which I'm not well studied in) in these comments. It would take away from the picture.
But the truth remains. I believe there are people who live in spiritual bondage even in the places with the most political and economic freedom. And there are people who live under tyrants who are more free than some of us who surround ourselves with comfort and material goods.
*shrugs* But now that I've elaborated, the wit has been lost. =P In any case, feel free to use the saying, so long as you give me credit and don't give it a meaning I didn't intend. *sigh* It's a fact of human nature that some people like to twist quotes to support their own agenda, regardless of whether the original author/speaker would throttle them for doing so. Happens to God all the time.
