Levyticus' story is that he's the bastard son of Naga shaman who knocked up a rather pious and naive shark-lady (while assuming the form of another shark, no doubt). Levy was born with traits similar to snakes and sharks, with the ability to assume facets of either creature and the distinct power to take on a bi-pedal form as well. Stricken with shame of her offspring's heritage and powers, being of a anti-magic sect of sharks, Levy's mother immediately abandoned him in hopes that the sea would take care of her mistake.

Levy turned out to be a little more Spartan than his mother thought and escaped not just death, but the entire ocean itself. He took up magic studies in a near by city, where he met Tizer. Curious about his lineage and powers, Tizer took him in as an understudy and he currently lives with the bat as his/her fellow scholar of magic.

Unlike his mentor, though, Levy prefers to use his studies to better educate the populous.
