Aydren grew up a very devout follower of Luena, the moon goddess worshipped by the Lueth. He gave up the common life to learn from the temple. The clerics taught Aydren the art of healing, but he discovered he had another useful talent: Fighting. Aydren spent equal amounts of time practicing divine spells and the use of a sword. When he was ready, he left the temple with their blessings to go out into the world to deliver justice under Lueth law to regions where crime and terror were rampant.
When Malek sought out a healer for his group, the temple recommened Aydren, who could not only heal wounds when needed, but was a formidable warrior himself. Aydren accepted this offer with great enthusiam, since he viewed it as an opportunity to serve the demigod and chosen king of Luena. Aydren proved himself to be a worthy member of the party, if a bit abrasive. He comes across as a bit of a zealot to the other party members, and even to Malek himself, but Aydren's loyalty is never in question.
