it sounds like you're distorting an acoustic guitar :3 if that's the case, it could explain why you seem to have a hard time moving through those power chords. Acoustics tend to be higher gauge than your typical electric, which means you have to work harder to make those chords sound. Hence, you seem to be working too hard to get those chords out, which slows you down :3
try not to expend so much effort. Ease up and relax, and that should make finding those chords a bit easier.
