Maybe ask your vigilant readers to suggest situations for you to draw.

Or do some kind of challenge like the 24 hour comic thing. Don't have to be a full 24 hours, or even its fair to split it up a bit... But being pressed to draw a story in such a brief period really keeps you on the ball and really forces you to refine. It really improved my skills, craptastic as they are.

By the by, nobody ever likes their own art overmuch, but I really like your style. Toony but so alive at the same time... really cool. Please, keep it up, and maybe tell us a story or two while you're at it :)

The trick is to not voice your worries; objectively I am a proficient violinist and an adequate singer, but to me every piece is riddled with, if not errors, things that could have been better in my mind's ear. Every one else will be none the wiser, as long as you privately look out for all your 'flops' and better them. That's how everyone goes from being no one to being No. 1. =P
