Soundwave is the single greatest Transformer in the history of EVER!!!!

So Cool! But try to make him abit more like they are toward the style taht that one dude taht made ben10....but its SO awesome. But I hate the style....makes it look like they are one lpiece of robot instead of transforming like normally like in the old days.

His helm reminds me of Shreader X3 Good choice, you translated him well. Now I wish he was really in the new toon!

they're appealing to the G1 fans and also recently showed Arcee as well, and according to Wiki - Soundwave and Laserbeak: His alt-mode is a Jeep now based on a Scion xB and his minion or Spy Laserbeak now transforms into a guitar. He has a similar color scheme to his G1 self.

if they had him as an mp3 player, he'd be extremely tiny and almost non-threatening, it's possible he's one of those kinds of cars that have huge stereo speakers at the back of the car like a lot of obnoxious people who love to party tend to have

I;m not gonna lie, I'm a lil' too young for Gen1. But I was pretty sure he never was threatening, just a lil' Spy Bot.

Though, that's a good point. With that kinda streosystem, it could translate well from the Boombox Design.

It sounds like Soundwave is going to be more like the Armada-Energon-Cybertron version of the character than the G1 version.

If I remember correctly...there is going to be a Soundwave... but he's appearing more like a rock band's tour van with a big ass guitar as a weapon...I could be wrong though....I just remember seeing a concept drawing somewhere of soemthing like that.

I've been loving Transformers Animated so far.

I know a lot of G1 fans are pissed about the new style, but I like it. Change is not necessarily a bad thing.

If they do end up putting Soundwave in the series (and I imagine they will at some point), I look forward to seeing how your version compares with canon. :D

I totally missed it last Saturday morning. Well that's not exactly true...the way they draw it...it totally put me off to the show. Especially Optimus Prime... That's not to say I don't like how you've drawn Soundwave, he looks pretty good. Just gimme G1 any day over this.

I'm with doppleganger, I think your pic is great, it looks in-between the new animated show style and classic Soundwave.

I haven't seen the new animated show yet, but I think some of the designs are absolutely horrid, Op Prime is super deformed and Starscream doesn't look like a robot anymore, his face is more akin to a human with a Hapsburg chin (the Hapsburg were the Austrain royal family, they married close relatives and due to in-breeding they developed massive Geena David-esque chins)

Soundwave was always the coolest henchman! :-D
