I was originally trying to finish this in time for the FWA art show but at some point in the sketching phase the figures began to look a lot like a couple of my own story characters so I set it aside and decided to keep it. If you dropped by my alley table over the weekend you may have seen my working on it.
Black and sepia India ink washes were used for this along with an ink pen for details. Done on watercolor paper, which seems to work out well for ink washes.
Gotta say it felt really good to do some art just for me for a change. It been a long time!

I really am always just in awe of your work.
you do so much with so few and similarly toned colors and always develope such depth and emotion, as well as a dainty gentle quality. its just really beautiful to look at.
I hope I can get an original from you someday in my dreams, I would love to have it hanging to admire in my home.
