"What is it?"
"It's a house Pinkie..."
"I know that, Twilight, but who's house is it?"
"I have no idea! Maybe you should knock?"
"I did, as soon as I saw it"
The massive building had appeared overnight. It was a squat structure, large beams raising from the ground, holding up mortar and stone walls. There were no windows, and one massive door dominated one side of the building. Smoke billowed from the top of a chimney, making the fact that there is someone living in this horrendous construct apparent.
"How uncivilised, not bothering to meet their neighboors" commented Rarity (accenting the neigh a little too much).
"Maybe they are shy?" added in Fluttershy, knowing from experience
"Can anyone else hear that?" commented spike "It sounds like there is a banging inside!"
A low banging could be heard inside of the building, similar to the sound when Pinkie dropped one of her baking pots. The sound was constant; the time between bangs was always the same.
Pinkie pie approached the door again, and gave it a large kick. Making sure that the bang on the door could be heard over the banging inside of the building. Her head sank as there was no reply, and she drooped and turned to return to her friends. A few seconds later the banging stopped, and the smoke coming from the roof seemed to billow away. Loud steps could be heard inside of the building, somepony, or something, was approaching the door. A small porthole opened in the door, far too high for a pony to use. A helmeted face of a foal appeared in the opening.
"What is it?" demanded the foal, in a gruff, unfriendly voice "I am very busy, and I cannot be disturbed."
The group's excitement over the new arrival turned to dismay, as this 'new friend' seemed less than friendly, almost offensive.
"We saw your new house! And we wanted to welcome you to Ponyville!" cried Pinkie, unphased by the stranger's rude tone
"Oh. Thankyee'" an awkward pause later "Is that all?"
"I guess" commented Twilight, hoping that the stranger would invite them in, or try and pick up the conversation.
"Alright." Commented the mysterious stranger, still donning a mask.
The porthole snapped shut, and a few moments later the banging continued. Now occasionally stopping while the smoke would increase, some sparks were able to escape the hearth and flew upwards, reaching towards the sky.
"What a strange foal!" commented Pinkie, now hopping away.
The rest of the group scattered, going about their business. Most of them had work to do, as Princess Celestia would be appearing in Ponyville in a few short days. She is going to attend the Dragon's day, a holiday that celebrates the anniversary of when Trogdor, the burninator, one of the most powerfull dragons, was defeated by Celestia.
The three days went by uneventfully, the town was spruced up; buildings decorated, pies and other confections baked, and even some of the roads were given the 'royal treatment' of a covering in a red carpet. Everything was on track for Celestia's arrival.
"I wish that we could do something about that ugly building" remarked Twilight, stressed about the princesses arrival.
"Don't worry about it," reassured Spike "it is in a fairly secluded part of town, and Celestia is probably not going to even see it!"
"Yeah..." remarked Twilight, unsure of Spike's comment
Pinkie Pie came bounding up to the pair, frantically trying to speak to them, but her words somewhat mushed out together. Twilight had to convince Pinkie not to speak so fast, but all she could make out was "she's here". Twilight was set back! The princess was four hours early! Twilight moved full gallop after Pinkie, who was retreating back to where the Princess was located.
Across town, the banging in the building continued; the relentless smashing of steel on steel as the occupant shaped and formed the metal. This metal was formed better than any magic could perform, and it was far too thick for any pony to tote.
And ass ponies sprinted frantically around town, all moving towards the town square, something strange happened. The banging stopped. This would have alerted anyone around that something was amiss, but nopony was around to note the noise, or lack thereof.
"We've brought out everything we could" commented Twilight
"I can tell, this town looks lovely every time I visit it." remarked Celestia
"Just on eency, teency problem..."
"And what would that be?"
"Some foal built himself a massive stone building"
"It looks horrendous" interrupted Rarity
"Yeah, and he's inside of it banging stuff!" added Pinkie
A worried look came across Celstia's face, although she tried to hide it from her citizens. She wondered what kind of person would be so secluded, it wasn't natural for ponies to be like that, she began to wonder if this pony could be a threat to the wellbeing of this town. She had decided. She would send her guards to investigate this new home.
A guard interrupted her train of thought with a booming; "Who goes there?" The other guards, alerted, approached the lone guard, who was facing down an alley.
"If you impede me I will strike you." a raspy voice boomed, with a metallic ring to it's voice.
The guard stood brave as his comrades reached him, they had successfully blocked the alley. The guards were suddenly thrown back, their weapons sent clattering across the cobble streets. A massive figure moved out of the alley; clad in metal, it stood much higher than the ponies, and it even made Celestia, a towering allicorn, look miniscule.
The massive golem began to move, trying to move as quickly as possible withing the huge steel plates. Each one screaming as it slid across the other plates within the armor. Dazed, confused, the group of girls could do nothing as the massive beast; standing on two legs, moved towards them at a rapid pace.
"Fly Celestia, fly!" screamed Twilight, attempting to stop the marauder with a spell.
The bolt of magic bounced harmlessly off of the steel plates, bounding into the wall of a nearby house. Celestia, truly afraid of this demon, attempted to get aloft, as she could tell that it was chasing her. Her efforts were useless though, as the massive creature was beside her when she was no more than a few feet above the ground.
The chainmail arm wrapped around the base of one of her wings, and the weight of the armor and it's wielder was too much, she was grounded. Her assailant paused, and let go of her.
"Pardon my entrance." the voice boomed out "Don't move. There are dragons afoot."
Celestia eyed the iron golem in terror, as it drew a massive sword, capable of smashing through her guards' armor, let alone cutting through it.
A shadow seemed to cover the land, and everyone pried their eyes from the massive steel figure to look upwards. In the sky, there was something more than a cloud or a pony, there was a massive, distinguishable shape. It was a dragon.
"Eye' I haven't had a fight like this in eons."

Interesting. I love the Trogdor reference. Just one question though. You kept using the term "foal" which is a baby or young pony. It sound like he was more of a "colt" or "stallion"? Also there is an interesting typo here "And a** ponies sprinted frantically around town". I'm sure that wasn't intentional.
