I have to wonder if someone like you, who has created *SO* *MUCH* *ART* in his lifetime might once in a while run across a piece you've done and not remember anything about it. Do you look at it and wonder, "What was I thinking? What inspired this? What does it mean that I can't remember creating it?"
I would think it would almost be like meeting a child you'd had but had forgotten.

I forget a lot of the context, but not the images themselves. I'm a visual person; I'll remember faces instead of names, landmarks instead of streets, that sort of thing. So I recall all my babies, just not always the rest of the story.
Actually was wondering what you meant and just now noticed that I passed the 1000 mark on submissions a little while ago :P
Flicker tells me I've got just over 2200 images there, I dunno what it all means really though. I try not to dump everything old here, just little bits as it occurs to me, mixed in with what I'm doing now.

Ah, but I've been quietly following since the fysh newsgroups when you called yourself Paf. I followed your LiveJournal when the newsgroups died out. I found you here and watched, knowing I'd be seeing more growth and more discovery and you haven't disappointed. Music, woodburning, clay, plastic bits made into tiny artworks, insects made from office supplies, painting, drawing, writing, digital work of all kinds... dude, you aren't just an artist, you're an artist channeling all the other artists.
So it's a wonder to me that you can recall all your work, in any meaningful way. Which just makes you that much more impressive.

I've been lax in keeping the collection up this year, oops, but I think at last count I've got something in the realm of 3400 images of yours. I only curate the images I find online though; no music or other works that never make it around for one reason or another. I'll have a look tonight and confirm.
By the by, Genki is my husband's favorite image of yours. :) He practically squirmed with delight the day I showed that series to him.
